AND JUST LIKE THAT, AQUA IDOL IS OVER!!!!….The Grand Finale of the Waterfront Playhouse 2024 Aqua Idol, on March 4,  was a smashing success.  Many heartfelt thanks to the top 6 Contestants, #1…JOE TRIPP…#2…BETTY CARRAWAY…#3…GREG FISHER…#4…FLOYD JENKINS …#5… JORDAN SOMMER….#6…BAHAMA BOB LEONARD.  Collectively, that evening, $18,847 was raised by our wonderful contestants.  Congratulations and thank you MOST sincerely.  Big Thanks to all the other  great contestants,  including, Jerry Hughes, Trey Forsyth, Jim Speake, Claire Caplan, Jimmy Olson, Adam Stamper, Mariah Woessner, and Mina Lopez.  Thanks to ALL those who attended, not only at the Finale but week after week…your support of the Waterfront Playhouse means the world!!!  I want to thank all those who contributed to the Prize Packages gladly bestowed on our Vocalists.  Thanks to Aqua Plex owners, Mike & Jon Barrett for ALL they did to make this Event run so smoothly.  Thanks to Laurie Thibaud, our emcee …Jimmy Harcup, our tech man…Mark Watson & Rhett Kalman our amazing bartenders….the fab Christopher Peterson our weekly hilarious judge… and all those who were Celebrity Judges each week (JT Thompson, Bobby Nesbitt, Dave Bootle, Bria Ansara, Phil Amsterdam (who bid $250 to be a judge and he was great!), Vicky Rowden, Jessica Miano Kruel, and Idol Coordinator, Destiny Montgomery.  I loved helping Judge with each of you!  Thanks to all the guest singers…. BE AN ANGEL FOR THE KWHS DRAMA CLUB…. Program Director of our High School Drama Club is Emily Young Galvan, daughter of Liz and Gary Young,  Believe it or not, the High School provides NO funding for the Drama Club so this group depends solely on donations, fundraising, and grants to produce productions and programs.  Under Young’s direction, the group has soared from 10 student members to over 90.  This year the musical they will present is ‘HEAD OVER HEELS’,  on April 11,12,and 13 at the KW Auditorium.  This Club needs business ads and sponsorships to go in their Playbill…there are sponsorships and ad opportunities from every level starting at $50.  This musical stars the talented students at KWHS…Team involves Jeremy Zoma as director &  musical director…. choreographer, Lauren Thompson, and Gary SUSHI Marion doing Costume Design.  It is produced by Emily Young with Drama sponsor, Rebecca Bertucci, leading the technical.  I encourage you to reach out to this org with generous donations.  Note that the Drama club is based at Williams Hall.  Call 305-304-4332 and ask for a sponsorship flyer.  You could also go to www.williamshall.org.
