All are invited to attend this FREE Concert at St. Mary’s Church on Truman Ave., tonight at 7:30 PM! Donna Roll has brought a magnificent group of future Stars of Opera, Broadway, and Recording, to Key West, and every year she and her student singers WOW everyone who attends! If you cannot attend tonight, there are three more Free Concerts on June 18, 23, and 25….and there is a Concert at The Waterfront Playhouse at 8:30 PM on Sat. June 26, for a nominal fee. AQUA IDOL LAST NIGHT…
What a fabulous night! The only sad thing was that Yoa Hardidottir was eliminated and by only a $2.00 difference! We all love YOA and are sad that she had to go, but we had a great time tonight! The FULL HOUSE came in support of the wonderful contestants that are performing so amazingly during this Aqua Idol Waterfront Playhouse!!! All those who were there enjoyed a wonderful evening of musical entertainment…and how about Danny Weathers, artistic director of the Waterfront Playhouse, bringing down the house with his fabulous closing song from DreamGirls!!!! That was a WOW! Thanks to all for your support of our wonderful Waterfont Playhouse contestants! Hoping to see you next week!
MODERN DANCE FILM FESTIVAL…
Today at 7:30 and also on Thursday at 7:30 PM at the Tropic Cinema on Eaton St, Maurizio Nardi, principal dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Co., and Daniel Fetecua Soto, lead dancer with the Jose Limon Dance Co…..will present these special films. There will be a Q & A afterward…and they will share their experiences with these first class companies….tix are $6 for members and $10 for non-members. All invited to this rare opportunity. Michael McCabe, one of Key West’s fave singer/actors, has come with a great concept! It is called an ARTIST’S WAY WORKSHOP. Mike McCabe, along with Traci Reynolds, will be conducting this Workshop. This course will run for 12 weeks….it will be Free…..Mike and Traci are looking for 10 people to share creative time with. Locations to meet will include picnic lunches at the Botanic Gardens, at Ft. Zach, and at private homes of the participants. The ARTIST’S WAY is an internationally known guide by Julia Cameron, to unblocking your inner artist.
